Educating and informing Tennesseans about important legislation is a key component of FACT’s mission. That's why we hold this annual event during legislative session.
This year's State Legislative Issues Briefing will be at Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis on February 20, 2020.
What You Will Learn
We have the privilege and honor to host this event with Todd Payne of Bott Radio Network in Memphis, who will be our master of ceremonies. He, along with FACT President David Fowler will help you better understand key initiatives and bills that FACT is working on during the 2020 legislative session, including:
God-Given Marriage, an educational and legislative initiative that promotes and defends biblical marriage
Rule of Law Life Act, pro-life legislation that supports the sanctity of life for the unborn
School Protection Act
Business Protection Act
Schedule at a Glance
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. so that you can check-in before the event begins. The event, which will also be live-streamed, begins promptly at 7:00 p.m. in the Student Room on the 3rd floor of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis. We recommend you arrive at least 15 minutes before the briefing starts to gather materials and find your seat.
Since we are filming the event, please take note of where cameras are placed at the venue so that you do not accidentally block a camera view if you must arrive late or have to leave early. Also, if you must leave at any time during the broadcast, do so quietly.
There will be time for Q&A near the end of the briefing for about 10-15 minutes for any audience questions.
Note that no refreshments and no childcare will be provided.
For those who cannot attend our Memphis event, the State Legislative Issues Briefing will be live-streamed and viewable from a computer with internet connection the night of the event on Bott Radio Network Memphis' Facebook Page
