Charlie Kirk’s Memorial – “An Old-Time Revival”
Sep 25, 2025 by FACT
At least 20 million people around the world tuned in to watch Charlie Kirk’s memorial last Sunday, which President Trump described as “an old-time revival.” Estimates suggest that over 200,000 people attended the event in person, with nearly 100,000 attendees inside the State Farm Stadium in Arizona and another 100,000 outside and in overflow venues. The service began with two straight hours of worship, followed by incredible testimonies from some of Charlie’s closest friends and colleagues.
“Speaker after speaker bore witness to the gospel,” Dr. Al Mohler noted. “They spoke openly of Charlie Kirk’s personal faith in Christ and of his call for others to believe and be saved and to follow Christ in obedience. They did not speak of Charlie’s faith in political terms. They bore witness to Charlie Kirk’s politics in terms of his Christian commitments. Honestly, it was five hours of witness and encouragement and Christian testimony.”
“Charlie said, ‘If only we could bring the Holy Spirit into a Trump rally.’ And I think we’ve just done it,” Turning Point Action Chief Operating Officer Tyler Bowyer declared.
During Vice President J.D. Vance’s speech, he explained that until recently, he was “a little uncomfortable” discussing his faith in public settings. He shared that Charlie’s tragic death has emboldened him to proclaim his faith like never before.
“I have talked more about Jesus Christ in the past two weeks than I have my ENTIRE time in public life,” Vance proudly stated. “[Charlie] loved God, and because he loved God, he wanted to understand God’s creation, and the men and women made in his image.”
The three-hour portion of the memorial dedicated to speeches included appearances by White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and many others. Each individual spoke about their relationship with Charlie and his enduring legacy. “If we’re truly going to honor Charlie properly, his loss cannot be the end of the story,” Donald Trump Jr. shared. “His legacy must be that when they took his life, a million more Charlies stepped up to fill the void. We are all Charlie.”
The most powerful speech was undoubtedly from Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika. She shared:
President Trump took the stage following Erika’s remarks, saying that Charlie was “a great American hero” and a true patriot. He added that “America loved Charlie Kirk” and will remember his legacy.
With all that we know about Charlie, we believe he would be immensely proud that his memorial service was used to present the gospel and the love of Christ to 20 million people across the globe. Even in death, his mission lives on.
As Christians, we are called to pray for our nation and those in authority. We are living through a critical moment in American history right now – violence, secularism, hate, and radicalism are reaching unprecedented rates. We must pray for our nation and its people. The White House has even launched an “America Prays” initiative encouraging Christians to gather with other believers for one hour each week to pray for revival in our nation.
“As we celebrate 250 years of freedom, this is an opportunity to rededicate ourselves to the principles that gave birth to this land of liberty,” the White House website states. “As George Washington famously said in his Farewell Address, ‘Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens.’”

My husband, Charlie, wanted to save young men, just like the one who took his life. That young man. On the cross, our Savior said, "Father, forgive them, for they not know what they do." That man, that young man, I forgive him. I forgive him because it is what Christ did, and is what Charlie would do.
The answer to hate is not hate. The answer, we know from the Gospel, is love, and always love. Love for our enemies, and love for those who persecute us.
I am tremendously honored to be the new CEO of Turning Point USA. I do not take that lightly. Charlie and I were united in purpose. His passion was my passion. And now his mission is my mission. Everything that Turning Point USA built through Charlie's vision and hard work. We will make ten times greater through the power of his memory. Chapters will grow. Thousands of new ones will be created. USA Faith will add thousands of new pastors and congregants. And yes, campus events will continue and we will continue to hold debates and dialogues.
