Planned Parenthood Builds Huge Abortion Facility in Secret

Since last August, Planned Parenthood began secretly building a huge, 18,000 square-foot abortion facility in southern Illinois only about 10 to 15 miles away from the only active abortion clinic in Missouri that is still undergoing licensing issues over abortion safety regulations.
The St. Louis abortion facility has been embattled with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), which did not renew the facility’s license due to its refusal to cooperate with a DHSS investigation of life-threatening injuries to three women at that facility. However, the St. Louis Planned Parenthood has been allowed to operate under an injunction pending an administrative court hearing set for the week of October 28. It is expected the Missouri facility will lose its license as a result of the hearing.
What has Planned Parenthood been doing in the meantime to circumvent this legal battle and continue the big business of killing babies? It has been building a bigger and better facility close to it in Illinois! Using a shell company so as not to leave a public trail to its activities, Planned Parenthood has been building its Illinois location to circumvent protests from pro-lifers that could have affected construction. The Illinois facility plans to open for business later this month.
This sneaky tactic has not gone unnoticed by pro-life groups. “It almost seems like Planned Parenthood wants to lose their abortion license in Missouri so they could justify the move to Illinois where there are virtually no abortion regulations and a smaller pro-life presence,”said Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue.
Jill Stanek, the national campaign chairman for the Susan B. Anthony List, said in a written statement, “As Missourians expand protections for unborn children and their mothers, Planned Parenthood is working right next door to make Illinois the late-term abortion capital of the Midwest.”
